Losing weight...

I've been on a weight loss plan for almost two months now and it never really gets easy. Just trying to lose a few before the summer months hit and hopefully will be able to just maintain my weight through the summer and leading up to the wedding. I have been dieting since at least 12 years old and although I have learned some things that work and other things that don't...it's still always such a challenge! I'm lucky in that I only have a few pounds to lose but I seem to be struggling with even that. I will persist though and hopefully will be at my ideal weight in the next month or so. Any tricks that you have learned over the years that makes staying on track or losing weight a little easier?

  1. Sometimes it helps to hang your bathing suit up in the kitchen ( I know it sounds funny ), but when you want to cheat, sneak a peak at your suit! It helps to remind you of what your doing! :)

  2. Tracking everything you eat & burn...is VERY effective. Either journalizing by hand, or using helpful online tools...I personally love Livestrong.com ~ The Daily Plate...it has a large database of food that you would eat at home, or in most chain restaurants, and activites that burn calories. Also it has lot's of things to help challege yourself to reach goals of yours.

  3. Having a bad gall bladder forced me to change how I eat...I hated it, but I gave up chips, most sweets, fries, and all things fatty. I have stuck with fruit/oatmeal/cereal for breakfast, salad for lunch, and a mostly vegetable dinner (with lots of water) and I've lost close to 20 lbs in 2 months.
