Cursing on T-V

So I am a regular wather of "The View" and I like some of the hosts and a couple of them...not so much. But my big annoyance and it is mostly Whoopie that does this....is that she is "beeped" so often on the air. Do we not know by now what we can and can't say on the air? I work in radio and I'm pretty sure if I say something that needs to be "beeped" more then once a WEEK I would probably be relieved of my duties. I sometimes hear four to eight beeps per show on the View. I guess it's just a pet peeve of mine but really...can we not manage to stop cursing or saying inappropriate words for an hour out of a day...even less when you count commercial breaks!

  1. I am not someone who curses unless I'm super, super angry (this happens maybe twice a year, lol), so I don't understand cursing at all, but I work with people who curse as if it's no big deal, like instead of saying dog poop, they use the "s" word, and they throw the "f" word around like it's no big deal. I think it makes people-especially women-just look like they have no class. And you're right, to do it on t.v. is ridiculous, people should censor themselves since they know they are going to get censored anyway, and it just seems really trashy for people to constantly do it, especially on daytime t.v. and a talk show, no less.
