Bachelor/bachelorette parties are the wave of the future?

I attended a combined bachelor/bachelorette party this past weekend and am wondering if this is a new trend. This may have been a little bit of a different situation because it's a second wedding for both parties and it's also a destination wedding. I think they wanted to give everyone who can't make the trip to come out and celebrate with them. I thought it was actually a really good idea...the group we had was huge and you can't normally get that many people to come and hang out for any other reason. Congratulations to Mark and Amy!

    It does sound like a good idea! I wouldn't mind sharing my night with my hubby and ALL our friends like that. When I married my currect husband, it was my second time, his first. We really didn't feel like partying the night before our wedding so instead we went to a Blue Claws game and had dinner together before we went our seperate ways for the night. It was really nice and is one of my best memories :)
